Axalta has extended its proven ValueShade® concept to Spies Hecker undercoats, providing bodyshops with a simple and effective way to optimise basecoat coverage, improve colour match accuracy and increase productivity.

Every quality repair starts with the right foundation. ValueShade uses a simple seven-shade system to match the ideal undercoat to the final topcoat colour. By selecting the correct ValueShade, refinishers can achieve faster hiding, improved colour consistency and a more efficient refinishing process while using less paint.

The system is designed to simplify stockholding and mixing, and the concept is based on light reflection. Just three undercoat colours – VS1 (white), VS4 (grey) and VS7 (black) – are intermixed to create all seven ValueShade options, ensuring the ideal foundation for every repair.
