When the color formula is known or has been identified, it only needs to be transferred to an electronic scale. This can be done manually (typing the color code into the scale) or in a complete fomula retrieval system it can be transferred directly from the computer to the electronic scale. Modern scales have many options – and really make your work in the color mixing room / bodyshop a lot easier. Many can weight mix amounts down to zero or automatically rule out weighting errors when used in combination with a software program. Safety is a vital factor when it comes to the electronic scale systems. Mixing rooms are noted as potentially explosive areas and are regulated in the European Union with the ATEX 137 and the ATEX 95/Atmospheres Explosibles 94/9/EC. With the scales we recommend we comply with these regulations. For more information about recommended scale systems please contact your local Spies Hecker office.
